Easy Summer Project- Sponge Balls

Here's a great indoor project for these hot hot days!!

You need 2 sponges for each ball and floss.

Cut the sponges lengthwise into 4s.

Stack the sponge strips every other color

Lay the floss on the table and slide the sponge strips over the floss.  Then pull tight and tie a knot.

Cut the floss strings off and you're ready to play!

Don't these just look so fun!

Now, grab a bucket of water or a pool will work great too, drench the sponges and have fun getting all wet with your kiddos!

A busy summer...

As you can tell, we are having a really busy, wonderfully fun summer!  We've been fishing, making popsicles, swimming, running, camping, kayaking, enjoying chocolate fondue, playing at parks, making crafts, splashing at the splash pad, running in the sprinklers, baking and just really enjoying spending time together.  I've been receiving lots of nice emails asking if everything is ok since I haven't been blogging.  Honestly, I keep sitting down to blog and then get side tracked.  I didn't mean to wait sooo long to catch back up!

I've thought a lot about this blog and have decided several things.  I want to keep the blog up and running because I enjoy sharing great deals and helping all of your save money.  But I also want to cut way back.  I've decided for the most part not to be on the computer all morning- that will be my time just with Mia and we've been loving that!  I want her to know she is my priority.  I don't want her to look back on her childhood and remember mommy sitting at the computer all the time- sad.  So, I'm back but with less deals!!  But believe me- that meals the deals I do share will be GREAT ones!
